About the event
Demand for specialty mushrooms is rapidly rising, as we look to purchase more foods that are healthy, nutritious, medicinal and to support small local communities. There are methods to grow mushrooms outdoor systems on logs, stumps, and in beds, as well as indoor production techniques that can occur in a wide range of spaces on straw, sawdust, and other agricultural materials. This DONATION BASED workshop will focus on helping you to be inspired, informed and skilled to start your own gourmet/medicinal mushroom log cultivation.
NOTE: The kit is NOT required for the course, but purchasing it and completing the related activities will aid your skill-building during this workshop and also make the workshop more fun and interactive!
