WATCH LAKE- GREEN LAKE GYMKHANA

Since the late 1950's, on the second Saturday of July and August, folks from all around have been coming to participate in the Watch Lake/ Green Lake Gymkhana. Gymkhana, which translates to "games on horseback", is fun for all ages. Competitors from 3 years old and up attend the event each year, and it is not uncommon to hear stories of many past generations that have been a part of the action over the years. Bring your horse and enter the barrel racing, poles, stakes, keyhole, and other novelty events. If you're not a seasoned cowboy, or cowgirl, you can come enjoy the show and cheer on your favorite rider. The beer garden and concession are always a welcome sight on a hot day in the Cariboo.
